Rules

I have decided to follow certain 'rules' during the world tour. They are as follows:

1. PMDG 737-700 will be used
2. All realism settings set to HARD.
3. Real-world weather will be used for all flights.
4. Real-world approaches will be used if the information is available.

Introduction

This blog has been created to chronicle around the world aventure tour in a 737-700.

I have been using Flight Simulator since the days of Flight Simulator 2 on the Commodore 64. However, there was never really any purpose to my flying, which normally only involved several take offs and landings which quickly resulted in boredom and not learning very much about flying/navigating. Furthermore, all settings were set to EASY. I would occasionally fly an ILS approach or other instrument procedure, but nothing that ever involved that much navigation.

I have decided that a flight around the world might make my use of Flight Simulator more meaningful. It will create a purpose to each flight rather than just a random takeoff and landing. Furthermore, I will use real weather and all setting set to difficult to make the flights as real as possible with this simulator. I may or may not use VATSIM for some of the legs.

The flight itself is not a 'race' around the world, but rather a grand tour with stops at some airports with very difficult approaches, famous airports, or just locations I wanted to fly to.
